I believe abortion is the single most hideous crime in our society today. Americans kill more of their own children every day than the Al Qaeda terrorists killed in the World Trade Centre on 11 September 2001.
One of the fundamental barriers to open discussion on abortion on our society today is that the issue has been made into one of women's rights. This is a fundamental error — abortion is no more about women's rights than the Nazi regime was about German's rights. Abortion is about murdering children.
Graphing Biblical genealogies
When i got to the genealogies in Chronicles in my daily Bible readings, i figured i'd try to have some fun with them, since i usually find them rather dry. So i decided to use the automatic graph drawing package graphviz to create a visualisation of the data in the genealogies. The results so far, which can be seen in the attached diagram, are quite interesting.

I've recently been reading James W. Sire's The Universe Next Door: a guide book to world views (3rd edn, Downers Grove, IL: InterVarsity, 1996), and i've started making summaries of the different world views for small group discussion. Attached is a summary of the first chapter on Christian Theism.
Christian Lobby urges protection of frogs and unborn babies
It's great to see some of the press picking up on the dreadful irony of our society's stance on abortion. Some would promote conservation of frogs, but oppose conservation of humans. They support free choice for born women, but not for unborn women. How sad.
