Nerd tip of the day: watch out for fake/malicious Christmas greeting cards
Internet Storm Center has an important reminder about things which claim to be electronic Christmas greeting cards, but are actually much more (or less, depending on how you look at it). My advice: don't click them at all, and if you want to send one to your friends, do it by copying and pasting the link into a personal email.

Wow. I don't think i've ever seen a pro-lifer given so much time to state a rational case without interruption. The audience is so one-eyed i wanted to puke, but that doesn't diminish the graciousness of Jon Stewart as a host. All the more reason to watch the Daily Show!

I can't believe i'm saying this, but Phil Gould has recently shown what i consider to be one of the best bits of journalistic thinking about alcohol that i've read in a very long time. What it all boils down to is this: cost/benefit analysis. Gould has come to the realisation that the benefits to NRL players of drinking alcohol simply don't outweigh the cost.
