I know this is fanboyism, but much of it really is true. I'm constantly amazed why people put up with what they do on Windows. While a lot of the points in the post linked to above are made up for the point of humour, there are numerous truths behind them which are worth dwelling upon:

Today marks the initial release of my new Linux utility, Photo Importer. I wrote it because i couldn't find a Linux image management utility whose import functions didn't require manual intervention. Photo Importer's goal is to provide reliable, hands-off import of media from digital cameras for Linux and the GNOME desktop. My quick reference for WordPress upgrades
I have a very small, simple WordPress installation with virtually no customisations, which is automatically backed up nightly (both files & mysql DB). This is what i do to get it upgraded. It's mostly here for my reference, but i figured others might find it helpful.
...Updated biblical genealogy graph
Here's an updated version of the genealogy graph (in PNG and SVG formats, and the graphviz source file i used to create it). I've managed to get a only a little farther, but it is still an interesting graph. Graphviz's dot tool is particularly good for genealogies because it tries to draw all ancestors to a node on the same rank....
