Alien landscape?
After looking at this a few times, it seems (to me at least) rather reminiscent of those "alien lanscape" photos that are sometimes offered for download as desktop backgrounds. You know - the ones with two suns or three moons or whatever. There isn't a single sign of human civilization in this picture, even though it's in a well-travelled area.
